Its universally true, from small town to large metros the people in government are willing to give the shirt off YOUR back to accoomplish ANY feel good cause that allows them to appear concerned. The ULTIMATE HOAX,AWG is the perfect vehicle for that mentality. Fighting climate change = increased taxes which empowers the rulers. If this continues unchecked, the carbon cards will be issued and we will all PAY for the privilege to purchase ANY fuel.
Don't get your ideology concerning governments and taxation confused with whether or not their are problems that we need to solve.
There are any number of stupid ways that government can try to get involved, but that does not negate the fact that various types of pollutions can create problems that we need to deal with.
