That is a bunch of horse radish,

No matter what some people think the whole globle warming thing is absured, sure the climet is changing.
But guess what! People hate change.
The Climet has been changing for thousands of years, it doesn't mean we as people are to blame.
People need to adapt learn new ways to tolerate the heat and the change. Nothing is ever going to be perfect. Come one, I like the wildlife and camping and being out doors. I love it!.
but concerning the kyoto accord and all that bunch of wasted money.
set up by the previous government, new ways will have to be found.
Light bulbs, how are the bulbs with the mercery inside them to be removed and recyled?
some of the new ways of saving energy will save power, but what do they do with it. isn't it easier to plant new trees and keep the habitate clean and free of junk? did you know that to recycle paper they use harmful chemicles?

Just saying My piece.

That is True.

Isn't any one listening to reason?

Anon, Catherine,

I'm not really sure what either of you are saying. The article in question is about some country that feels it is likely to face serious consequences due to things like rising ocean levels.

Their spokesperson is talking about small things that local residents can do to help reduce their use of some natural resources.

What is the big problem with that?

People need to let go of the political baggage and consider the issues involved. We aren't sure but it seems like human involvement is accelerating global warming, which could have tremendously costly consequences.

Minimizing the human impact would simply be wise.

Stop freaking out!
